Cllr Danny Carter

About Danny Carter

Danny Carter is a British entrepreneur, legal technologist, author, and political figure based in Birmingham. Born in Selly Oak Hospital, Selly Oak in Birmingham, in 1970 to British-Jamaican parents of the Windrush generation, he was raised on the St Martin's Estate in Highgate during the turbulence of the 1970s. Coming of age during the 1984 Handsworth riots, he bypassed a failing education system and found his escape through the ruthless meritocracy of technology and capitalism.

Today, Danny is a trainee Solicitor and the CEO of Explosive Beatz Limited. Having graduated from the University of Law as a mature student in November 2025 with an LLB in Law with International Business, he is currently studying for a Masters Degree (LLM Legal Practice with SQE1 and SQE2) to become a Solicitor Advocate specialising in Civil Litigation. He is also launching ResolveBridge.AI, a legal tech startup designed to host dispute resolution services for hundreds of legal professionals.

Political Ideology & "The New Centre Right"

Danny is a civic nationalist and a proud, empire-building capitalist. He completely rejects socialism, communism, and borderless globalism, having witnessed firsthand how these ideologies have mismanaged the decline of great cities and trapped working-class people in state dependency.

He watched the political establishment systematically dismantle Birmingham's industrial giants — the Rover plant, HP Sauce, and Fort Dunlop. Simultaneously, he saw left-wing local bureaucrats use heavy-handed regulations to choke the city's independent music and hospitality sectors, while the Conservative era delivered mass migration and devastating economic lockdowns.

To break this cycle, Danny authored the book The New Centre Right: The Principles of Techno-Nationalism. The book is not a theoretical essay; it is a tactical, easy-to-understand blueprint to rebuild the country's wealth, inspired by the historical principles that originally built the British Empire. He champions a system where the government stops taxing everyday people and starts acting like an owner.

His ideology rests on three simple pillars:

The Owner State

Instead of taxing small businesses into the ground, the government should force massive, global monopolies to pay a 20% equity dividend just to access the UK market. This creates massive national wealth.

Technological Supremacy

The country must heavily invest in AI, robotics, and commercial nuclear energy to drastically lower the cost of living for everyone.

Putting Citizens First

The primary goal of the economy is to serve the British people. By using the wealth generated from monopolies and cheap energy, the government can rapidly pay off the national debt and systematically abolish taxes for small and medium-sized businesses.

Driven by these principles, Danny joined Reform UK in 2025, serving as the Deputy Chairman for the Erdington Branch, determined to empower all citizens to realise their potential and rebuild Britain's greatness.

Civic Leadership & Community Roots

Elected to Birmingham City Council on 8 May 2026, Danny brings his pragmatic vision directly to local government as the Councillor for Pype Hayes. He sits on both the Licensing and Public Protection Committee (LPPC) — where he acts as a fierce defender of local enterprise and the night-time economy — and the Housing Scrutiny Committee. His role in shaping housing policy is heavily informed by his frontline experience working as a Housing Support Worker and Concierge Officer for the Midland Heart Housing Association (2010–2018), and as a Housing Officer for Aspire Supported Living (2020–2021).

Elite Commercial & Legal Training

Danny's pivot into the legal sector was a direct, strategic move to master the law and break the barriers the state puts in front of independent builders. To anchor his upcoming firm, ResolveBridge.AI, he completed a series of advanced legal and corporate finance training tracks with elite Magic Circle and top-tier global firms:

  • Corporate Finance & Asset Structuring (Clifford Chance & Weil): Developed deep competence in multi-million-pound project financing, navigating regulatory frameworks, executing private equity mechanics, and drafting robust Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs).
  • FinTech, Mergers & Acquisitions (Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer): Trained in high-stakes corporate transactions, cross-border M&A due diligence, anti-trust laws, and the global regulation of digital assets.
  • Commercial Operations & Litigation (Pinsent Masons): Gained rigorous practical insight into corporate structuring, the execution of commercial contracts, and foundational litigation workflows, including drafting formal witness statements.
  • Enterprise Account Management (CBRE): Conducted high-level commercial real estate market research to service institutional clients.

Technology, Media, and Broadcasting

Danny's initial academic background is rooted in technology, earning his Web Development Macromedia Software Certification from Tech Connect between 2001 and 2003. This deep technical foundation drives his advanced digital campaigns and his work at Explosive Beatz Limited, managing e-commerce, web development, and 3D Virtual Reality production.

Operating in the music industry under the alias DJ Paris Walker, Danny formalised his audio expertise by studying Music Production (BTEC HND) at Sandwell College. His live performance career spans 35 years across the UK. Today, he exclusively plays National and International Electronic Dance & Urban Music Festivals to promote his extensive catalogue of original music releases.

His broadcasting career spans decades across major urban stations, including stints as a freelance deejay at New Style Radio (2001–2002), Aston FM (2008–2010), Big City Radio (2010–2012, 2018–2019), and Fresh Leeds Radio DAB (2019–2021). Deeply committed to Birmingham's cultural heritage, he also dedicated a decade of service to the Birmingham Carnival Committee from 1991 to 2001.

The Sovereign Pragmatist

Danny operates on the principles of extreme ownership and mental toughness. This discipline extends directly to his personal life as a calisthenics fitness advocate, maintaining a strict organic whole-food diet alongside daily bodyweight and skills training. First and foremost, he is a dedicated father to his 10-year-old daughter. Whether supporting her martial arts training or fighting for better local services, his ultimate goal is to build a safer, more prosperous, and modernised Birmingham for the next generation.
