Object to HMO Planning Application at 128 Tyburn Road (Ref: 2026/01309/PA)

I am formally objecting to this proposal on the following grounds, which are of urgent concern to our neighbourhood:

• Antisocial Behaviour: High-density HMOs along this corridor have repeatedly become a magnet for antisocial behaviour, creating an environment of fear for neighbouring residents.
• Criminal Activity: Residents have consistently reported drug dealing and other criminal activities linked to similar intensive housing sites in the immediate vicinity.
• Strain on Police Resources: These properties create persistent demand on our already stretched local police services, diverting resources away from the wider community.

The Proposal: Planning application 2026/01309/PA seeks the conversion of 128 Tyburn Road into a 7-bedroom HMO plus two additional bedsits. As your Ward Councillor, I believe this proposal is an unacceptable intensification of the site that will worsen these existing issues.

Additional Concerns:

• Parking & Traffic: Tyburn Road is a major, congested transport corridor. This development will generate far more parking demand than the existing single-family dwelling can accommodate, adding further pressure to our already congested streets.
• Loss of Family Housing: We are losing a vital family home to high-density shared accommodation, further undermining community stability.
• Community Balance: My office has been involved in extensive casework regarding the cumulative impact of such developments. We simply cannot support further high-occupancy dwellings on this corridor.
