The problem
Pype Hayes Hall, built in 1630, was sold by the council in 2014 for just £25,000 on the promise of a hotel and spa. More than a decade later nothing has been built and the hall is fenced off and falling apart. Residents have called it "an absolute blight on the park".
What we're asking for
- The council to publish what the buyer agreed to do, and by when
- Action under listed building law to stop further decay
- A public conversation about new uses, such as a café, public toilets or a community centre
